The Vitale Barberis Canonico Wool Excellence Award is designed to encourage the professional wool grower. It rewards producers of wool clips that exhibit excellence, in line with the exacting fibre and preparation standards set by the Vitale Barberis Canonico Woollen Mill in Biella, Italy.

The Award promotes sustainable production of superfine saxon wool with a particular emphasis on wool produced under natural pastoral and grazing conditions and with the highest regard for the environment and the animal.
